Newsgang is like Air America reincarnated. A circle jerk of like minded goof balls. It’s very enjoyable, quite reminiscent of your dumb friend who is convinced that everybody who doesn’t agree with him is an idiot and never considers that he might be the idiot.
The theme today was that smart people support Obama. Maybe the smart people see through the sweet talking BS and see him for the con artist he his. Evidenced by the fact that McCain will interview with anybody without prep and Obama can’t deal with the slightest question of substance.
Seems liberals always like to talk among themselves and conservatives welcome a debate. That’s reasonable considering it’s easy to win an argument when your right

Seriously guys, Clinton won New York, California, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachussets,, Michigan, Arizona..
You cannot have a democratic candidate who is only favorite in the traditionnaly republican hillbilly states such as Mississippi, Georgia, Minnesota, Alabama and Texas.
Sure the Democrats should continue the 50 state strategy, every vote should count. So you need to count Florida and Michigan.
Look at the states which had the largest voter turnout in % of the overall population who came to the democratic primaries, Clinton won all those states. Which basically means Clinton is the better Democratic candidate.
Finally, there is nothing worse then telling people the vote is over before it even has been done. Democratic convention is on the 1st of July. Unless all other candidates drop out of the race before that date, then wait for that date and stop telling people in states that hgaven’t voted yet that their vote doesn’t count. Stop telling Florida and Michigan voters that their votes doesn’t count. Stop telling superdelegates that their judgment doesn’t count.

It’s not too late to reschedule a vote in Florida and Michigan. Let those democrats vote and let the candidates campaign in those states in a democratic fashion. Florida is the reason Bush is president, so don’t ignore those people, let them vote, and count their vote.

Charbax,
The ‘big state’ argument fails when you look at the general election. He won Texas and momentum there is for Obama at this point. California would go to the Democrats no matter who the candidate was, same for New York.
I don’t believe Florida would go to any Democrat in the general, and it was the Supreme Court who handed Florida to the GOP, anyway. Michigan would have had a completely different result had there actually been a campaign there. Neither of those results indicate reality.
This ‘big state argument’ is sheer nonsense. In Pennsylvania, even if you were to factor in the 16% admitted racism argument, you’d still have a strong Democratic showing no matter who the candidate is.
Not only that, but there was a huge defection of Republicans in Pennsylvania to Huckabee and Ron Paul, which means a general dissatisfaction with McCain open for exploitation by Democrats.
I’ve been looking at 2004 and 2006 results and comparing them to primary turnouts. The more I look, the shakier the ‘big state’ meme looks.

I’m not only talking about the big states, I’m more talking about the so called Democratic states, the blue states all vote for Hillary Clinton.
Sure I like Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy, that Democrats need to win in the red states. But look at the % of participation. The states with higher % turnout of overall population to the democratic primaries are the blue Democratic states. Which basically means the states where people care most about the result of the democratic primary, they voted Hillary Clinton.
Also, I don’t like Gillmore’s argument about Hillary Clinton using the race card or joining the dark side and stuff like that. Is his point that Hillary Clinton is setting the agenda in the major news media? Cause it’s the main news media who has been playing the race card, insisting on small insignificant issues instead of debating the real issues. Do you really think it’s Hillary Clinton’s choice to avoid speaking about the real issues? In fact I would say the media most probably is more in Obama’s pocket then Clinton’s since Obama has spent 3-4 times as much on TV advertising so far.
Also another thing I would like to ask about campaign finance, Obama says Clinton is corrupt by coorporations campaign donations. But who really knows where Obama gets all his money? Does he publish all the names and contracts openly? How can you be so sure there isn’t anyone channelling millions of dollars towards Obama’s campaign through intermediaries.
Finally, I don’t think that the number of Digg frontpage stories define which candidate is the best for the Internet. I think most Digg stories are coordinated spam by specific web campaigning teams, the same kind of spammers who worked for Ron Paul to make it look like he was on top of every anonymous uncontrollable polling on the Internet. To me, Clinton would most probably be great for young people and the Internet, cause I think her husband and Al Gore most probably really were a big part of the way in building the kind of Internet that we have today, which Bush and the Republicans tried to slow down and to destroy through manufacturing the dot com crash upon taking office.
Finally again, there aren’t any polls that matter other then the ones that are done when people actually vote. Let the people vote, also in Florida and Michigan. If the democratic principles are not satisfactory, then it should be up to the super delegates to make the correct choice for the democrats.

At any rate Gore is right with regards to climate change, right? Or is he? He says it was human-caused, not simply Earth’s ordinary cycle over 1000′s of years. Ya think?
