I am not sure it's just the online advertising revenue for Microsoft. They need to put themselves firmly in the cloud network scene. There office suites is under profound attack by online companies that are putting out great products like ZOHO's suite of business softwares etc. As far is Yahoo is concerned they can not only survive but if they attack the Microsoft grip on office productivity tools they are in an excellent position to take advantage of the future possibilities. Not to mention Yahoo could provide the same user interface and institute Google like features to surge forward. I think they need to replace the heads and come up with some great new ideas instead of trying to get bought.
