This is officially the most boring podcast ever. Can you pls headline the topics you plan to discuss so we the listeners can choose whether to listen or not.
Waste your own time talking about non tech - US political nonsense if you wish but as an international listener please do it on your own time.

A self-congratulatory love-fest for Barack Obama. And Francine Hardaway shamelessly smears Cindy McCain. About 21 minutes in, she says, “Cindy McCain spent most of her time as a drug addict.” While it’s true that Ms. McCain had dependency problems in the past, this statement is an outrageous smear. And no one in the gang had the integrity to push back. Not even a hint of perspective during an election when personal attacks are a big issue.
If this is the kind of heedless partisan hackery we can expect from the Gillmor Gang, then I certainly hope they stick to tech.

First, I am not a guest on the Gillmor Gang. NewsGang Live is supposed to be about politics.
Second, I live in Arizona, and have for forty years. I know the McCains, have given them money in the past when he was first starting out, and used to have the utmost respect for McCain’s maverick positions.
Second, you may check my facts on http://www.salon.com/news/feature/1999/10/18/drugs/index.html and on http://www.huffingtonpost.com/stephen-elliott/as-long-as-were-talking-a_b_108060.html. Those of us who lived through those times in Arizona will remember not only the drug addiction, which is more pathetic than dangerous, but also the fact that she stole the drugs from her own charity.
And I’m not even a Democrat; I’m a registered Independent. I just think the entire system needs changing.

Just because you’re not the only one engaging in disgusting smear-talk doesn’t change what you said.
Years ago a friend of mine fell into dependence on his pain-killers. It is a wrenching, human calamity to deal with. It took the kindness and belief and work of a group of friends to pull him back from the edge, and he was/is a *good* man.
You have also slimed *him* and any number of other currently coping survivors of substance abuse with your crude political epithets. Is this the “hope & change” we should expect from Obama activists?
Shame on you. Shame on you.
