Hi Guys,
I am still listening so sorry if you touch this, but how did the “yes” to Prop 8 campaign get the Video from the School? If it was made available with lets say a Creative Commons license then they are probably not doing anything legally wrong (assuming they followed the license). It is probably a very good lesson to learn (if this is the case) to be careful what rights you give on your media (Photo, Audio, Video, text, etc).
Also just for a bit of education for me, is the issue with Gay Marriage that the people that are against it object to the use of the word “marriage” but are happy that gays get the rights of Marriage or are they against the rights of Gays to have any kind of recognised union (for want of a better term).
Lastly, I don’t understand the US Tax/Welfare system, but here in Australia there are benefits to Single Parents so I am wondering if there are actual benefits for some guys by not being able to enter a gay union in the eyes of the law? i.e. If I am a gay man living with my partner with a child and the law won’t recognize my union, I could still (in theory) claim Single parent allowance. Just a thought that I wondered about.
Again, Just after information to be informed (as I am listening to the show and hearing about it), not making a judgment.
